Continuing our exploration of Europes great rivers (‘cause that’s where it’s flat riding…;)

That’s about the time we rolled out of town this morning. It’s hardly worth mentioning the distance we rode today. Let’s just say we had a warm up – then retired for the day. As we are running ahead of schedule, we are taking it nice and easy for a little while. Auvillar is a…
We were sheltering in coffee shops or under bridges for the 37kms to Moissac.
La ville rose It’s been a nice relaxing few days in Toulouse. It’s a university city so has a cool young vibe and it has been very well taken care of. There are trees and parks everywhere. Lots of squares and pedestrianised areas in the old town, all lined with cafes and restaurants. And if…
We’ve got 3 nights here in Toulouse. Lots of exploring and relaxing to do…

So, it’s been a late night. It was midnight by the time we headed back to our apartment. We have really enjoyed everything about this gorgeous town! It has such a history. Look up The Cathars and Crusades.
It was busy, but it was worth it. You get a table (with a bit of luck) order a wine, then go hunting for whatever you’d like. We had the local oysters and prawns. So, next we jumped onto the ferry over to Meze. It was a 30 minute ride. (I’d read somewhere that there…
Tomorrow we’re going to see the old fishing village of La Pointe Courte. Then off to the fish markets in town. 😋
