High Noon

That’s about the time we rolled out of town this morning.

It’s hardly worth mentioning the distance we rode today. Let’s just say we had a warm up – then retired for the day.

As we are running ahead of schedule, we are taking it nice and easy for a little while.

Auvillar is a town that we wanted to visit. It has made the list of ‘One of the prettiest villages in France’.

There was a small hill to ride up at the end, but what a beautiful view – it was worth it.

I had to stop on the way up the hill for a rest. This was the old washing place.
The entrance to the old town – which was still just a normal village being lived in.
Wow.
There are markets on in the middle of town tomorrow morning. This is the Halle de grains- the heart of the town.
The square was surrounded by the arcades.
The view over the valley and the river Garonne was just stunning.
This town is known for its pottery/ceramic making.
And tonight we’re seeing a movie out the front of the village church.
There was some local entertainment before the movie.
High Noon.
They don’t make movies like they used to. (For a good reason😉)
