Festival d’Abrivado.

Bringing out our own steeds this morning.
A nice leisurely morning waiting for thé gardians to bring down the cows. (Until we worked out today’s session was 4 blocks away.) we’d just settled into two beers and had to skull them…
It was crazy stuff. The outside horses leaned towards the middle to guide the cows to the coral. (the cows are tucked in behind them)
& kids were chasing them down the street!
The sounds of the hooves galloping down the street was wild.
The crowd was standing out on the street and were getting out of the way just at the last minute.
Kinda like playing chicken.🐓
My chicken moved pretty quick.

“The gardian belongs to his horse, the horse belongs to the marsh, and the marsh belongs to no one.”

We left after lunch to Aiguës Mortes. Only 25kms down the canal. Into the Carmargue delta.
And into the old town.
We’re staying on the top floor.
Theres some nice shopping around, but the best thing to do is to take a walk around the ramparts of the city walls.
The canal we came in from.
And the way we’ll be leaving town tomorrow.
Overlooking the salt flats which produce half a million tonnes of salt a year.
The keep.
One for his rock collection. 👍🏻
