Being Saturday, the markets in Calafat were on this morning.
A couple of bakery stops on the way out of town for Brekky.
And to get something for lunch.

We’ve got a long way to go today. 96kms to Bechet.

As we were heading out of town we rode past a woman who waved to us. She was on her way to the market carry a dead chicken. Unfortunately there was so much happening around us we didn’t get a picture – so we found this one later online. (And they could have been sisters😉)
Lots of horsey carts today.
We stopped every hour for a drink and short rest.
An old manual bell tower.

It was pretty flat going and on quiet roads. We were like celebrities going through towns, everyone’s yelling and waving and the kids run out for high fives. 💁🏻‍♀️ (they obviously don’t see too many tourists on bikes)

Our hotel in Bechet was like an oasis. It’s nice to see some green grass.

Dear Susan & Michael, you are one day ahead of us😊. Congrats for the 96Km completed! Tomorrow we will be heading from Calafat to Bechet too. It was so nice to meet you in Golubac. Nice to see and read that you both are ok. Have a good rest, warm regards, Denise & André

      Hello Denise and Andre!
I have also been enjoying your blog – (I’ve worked out the google translate:)
It was interesting to see you went a different way after we saw you.
(& We also got chased by dogs a couple of times yesterday😬)
I’m sure we’ll see you along the way again! 🤗
      Take care
      Susan and Michael
