Or have a semi trailer brush past at regular intervals. Ahhhhh! makes you feel ALIVE.

Firstly.

Leaving Novi Sad over the bridge.
It’s meant to get to 34 degrees today.

The road was pretty hectic to start with this morning.

(Impossible to get photos when traffic is busy ok)
Going through Stremski Karlovci. The four lions fountain.

10kms in, we hit ‘the mother of all hills’ – 8 degree incline for 5.5kms. So yeah – that was pretty shite.

We had to keep stopping for a drink.
The view was good at the top though – vineyards everywhere.
Then, a left hand turn onto a quiet road for the rest of the ride today. (You’re probably wondering why we’re always wearing the vests now? Well, there seems to be a lot of Serbian drivers watching their phones whilst driving – we like to stay a bit more ‘visible’)

The ‘Whooohoo!’ for today was – It was all downhill through quiet towns for the rest of the ride. ✔️

But, the ‘Boohoo’ for me was that I did have a great big dog trying to keep up with me just after the turn off. Michael didn’t see it as he was in front – he wondered why I flew past him so fast. Hey, every man for himself I say!

Speaking of men – there would have been 20 men (inside and out) at our coffee stop. “All the women working today?” I said to the barman.🫤
Travelling through the agricultural fields today. River to our left.

At 1.30 we made it to Stari Banovci and our apartment. We were ready to put our feet up. 65kms done. (that’s counting a couple of extra kms for an ATM run)

Taking our groceries home from the supermarket. (Had to keep the wine safe)

It’s only 30kms or so into Belgrade tomorrow. We’re going to stay for a couple of nights there to have a good look around.

Bikes get a special treat tonight.
