“Today we’re gonna go on a little field trip”

It’s another rest day really – just going to go 40km down the river to make our day tomorrow into Passau shorter.
Most of the track wasn’t too bad

(For those of you thinking of doing this trip – you’re in luck – there is a lot of work going on in this section to upgrade the paths.)

We’re addicted to these Bretzels.

And picked up some groceries to cook dinner at our apartment tonight.

Plus some fruit.

An older gentleman called Willie stopped us and tried to tell us about an upcoming detour. He said we’d need to cross the river by ferry and go along that way.

I don’t think so.

We made it. Just.

But then another detour section was also pretty rough.
When we arrived at our town for tonight (Niederalteich) we stopped for lunch on the river – and stayed for a couple of hours under some nice shade.

I took a walk around the village after dinner.

Oh, btw, we had a few comments on all our washing;) we did get to a laundromat in Regensburg on Sunday and actually had it all loaded in the machine, I was trying to pay and the machine keep putting a message on the screen saying The machines don’t work on Sundays.🤔
