We had pistachio cream filled croissants for Brekky (but they went so fast – I forgot to take a picture) this was morning tea.😜

The bells from Ulm Cathedral next door did ring at midnight last night to wake me up – WHY? My little friend slept through them though.👍🏻

Our track today was leaving the Baden Württemberg area (which is, in fact where we have been for the last week) and is now heading into Bavaria. We went through long stretches of forest dotted with small lakes today.

It was flat the whole way too!

Morning tea was in a town called Gunzburg. It’s a very interesting place with a chequered history. First with the Romans in AD75 then the Austrian Habsburgs from 1301-1805. Napoleon then made it part of Bavaria Germany in 1806.

Gunzburg. Morning tea here.

Heading into our next town of Gundelfingen, we rode past a headstone business and spotted these two.

Not sure why there is a statue of Joseph Stalin here (& one that looks like Franklin Roosevelt?) But there you go, something for everyone.
If anyone knows who this is, lets us know.
And another fancy city entrance (to Gundelfingen)

At 2.15pm and 50kms after we set out- we were in Lauingen.

Town square.
Hotel Lodner. cute.
