33kms today – “that’s just being lazy!”

And – another beautiful day.

This is the Military Independence monument just out of Corabia.

Over the road is the Hero’s Cross.

So only a short time later we’ve arrived in Turnu-Magurele.

There is a beautiful park in the middle of town with the War Memorial.
Before we checked into our hotel Michael cleaned his bike. This fellow was very chatty and indicated he liked the gears on Michael’s bike, as his had none. I think he was trying for a swapsie.
Our hotel is behind the fountain (I thought it might look better through it 😉)
I think it’s been renovated since Mum and Dad were here 11 years ago.
(But we didn’t get The honeymoon suite;)

* Sorry Dad! I know it’s late! Our Swiss travel friends Andre and Denise arrived in town after us and we’ve just finished having dinner together:)
