The hardest 45 we’ve done.

Although it was a pretty flat track today, we had a headwind that was even blowing the birds backwards! We were lucky to get over 14km per hour!

Still into town around lunch time.
Past this Soviet era Industrial estate.
It’s a huge melon growing region. Watermelons for sale everywhere.
Hotel Mimi. 👌🏻 (it was a good pick – Ma was looking after us)
And best of all – it’s got a pool, it’s the only one in Romania 🇷🇴 😜
We had a walk around town.
As usual there are stray dogs EVERYWHERE.
It’s a real issue that has historical, social and economic dimensions.

Michael has had to pull his stick (I mean sword) out quite a few times in the last couple of days.

When we were coming into the village yesterday and there were cars and other people around, there were two strays having a good go at us – we were swerving all over the place ( we’d just done 100k’s! ) so I started blowing the ‘safety’ whistle & all hell broke loose nobody knew what was going on – we’d arrived!

I was out of doggie treats:/

You should have seen the looks we were getting. 🫣

There was another close call earlier in the day, (no time for photos I’m afraid) when a big brown dog…..or was it a bear, was chasing Michael down a hill, Michael was getting ahead of him, then he realised I was coming up from behind, so he started after me!

So, I’ve got it worked out. 💡

I don’t have to outrun the dog. I just have to be able to outrun Michael.😁
