But we’ll go back to the beginning of the day.

It was a leisurely start with only 45kms to do today.

A FaceTime to Dad for Father’s Day and then the girls to remind them – they too, had a father.

Love you Dad.
😍love you girls too.😘

We had decided to take the scenic route along the flood dyke.

A decision we quickly regretted. Slow and bumpy.
Then we saw this beautiful road running along side the track so we jumped over to it.
Nice move
It added a bit on, but it was worth it!
Until it turned into this!🤯

So, back onto the flood bank we went.

Being Sunday, there were lots of fishermen out. It’s a beautiful canal next to the Danube, but the rubbish on the waters edge!!!! It’s all you can see!

I suppose they have had ‘bigger problems’ to worry about than the environment.

Hot and sweaty, we walked into the restaurant next to where the ferry is located in the village we are staying at and Michael said to the waiter “we’re staying here” so the waiter showed us to a table. (& this wasn’t our hotel)

We had lunch and drinks then went next door to the actual place we’re staying at.

We’ll be on the ferry in the morning heading to Golubac.
