Last night in Croatia.

We had a sleep in this morning.

And thankful that the rain had gone.
We found a bakery and had coffee and pastries for Brekky.
This was on the next corner.
1991. So apparently Branko Breskic was following some tanks coming into Osijek and he tried to stop the convoy by parking his little red car in front of them. The first tank was ordered to drive straight over the top of him…)
It was an amazing cycle track nearly the whole way today. AND A BLOODY TAIL WIND! We didn’t want to stop.
Doing 20kms an hour when we hit this mud – it nearly took us both out…
Our route actually took us across this train line coming into Vukovar. A little strange.

After we checked into our apartment- we went for a little walk around town.

We walked past this little Zimmer called Zara. (Remember this Mum and Dad?)

All these old building were covered in shell fire. And left.

Then, as were we were walking back into town, we ran across our old friend Roger! We stopped to have a couple of beers and exchange details.

It’s so good sharing our days and appreciating how different a day can be depending on which route was taken.

We have another easy day planned for tomorrow. Another 40 odd km day to Backa Planka. Serbia.

    Morning!😆     Amazing how some things haven’t changed. The bombed buildings are mostly owned by Serbs who don’t want to come back to live there. Made to feel unwanted our Pensi
