Today was all about the journey. Not the destination.

We left the city at 7am. A few kilos heavier with the break (mostly shopping – some calories)
Leaving on this path.
Which very soon became this path. It was a little bit rough.

We travelled along an island between the main river and a smaller arm of the river.

Some of it was through scrub like this.
Some of it was next to the water with houses to the left. Some shade.

This was at Rackeve. The markets were on along the waterfront and we stopped for lunch and a coffee.
Going back over the bridge to the mainland.
On this bridge. Now, this photo actually came from Mum and Dads blog when they did this route in 2014. (I’ve been enjoying looking at their travel blog while we’ve been doing the same trip.)
Before long the track turned into this along the top of the flood dyke. (It’s keeping us off a busy road) No shade.
(See the track hasn’t changed in 11 years Dad and Mum)
We’re about 85kms in. 31degrees, we’ve had a hot head wind all day and there’s about to be a mutiny.
Luckily, we had a place only a couple more kms up the track at Apostag. 88kms today.
