So we’ve had an interesting few days here in Budapest. We’re rested and ready for the next stage.

We have really loved our stay here and would recommend it.

We walked over to the Jewish Synagogue.
The tree of life – with the names of 440,000 Hungarian victims of the Holocaust.
Then – making our way over the The Great Market Hall.
Where we tried out some of the local dishes.
Our apartment building in Vorosmarty square.
We even managed to get a spot of shopping in:)
Before walking back over to the Buda side to visit the Fishermen’s Bastian area.
Budapest was bombed by British, American and Soviet forces in WW2. Demolishing 80% of the city. All 7 bridges over the Danube were destroyed.
The funicular up to the Buda Castle. It uses cables and the weight of the car going down to help pull the other car up.

But, WE thought it would be more fun to walk up.😮‍💨

And a couple of cocktails before dinner while planning tomorrow’s ride.
