We got a little burnt yesterday- so we tried to head out early today.

About 8.50am 🤷🏻‍♀️
But before we left town, we had a drive by the Old Anatomy School, ‘birthplace’ of Frankenstein.
Bugger, it was closed.
Michael was getting updates on the Dragons vs Sharks game.
We stopped for morning tea at Vohburg (our bikes are parked next to the cafe over the road) while we were sitting here watching the highlights of the game on his phone we wondered why all the people at the table outside the cafe were looking at our bikes. Then we realised we’d left the Bluetooth to our little music speaker on – they were listening to the highlights too!
Stopped for snacks.

Not long after, we arrived in the spa town of Bad Gogging.

These sulphur springs were first developed by the Romans – thought we’d check them out.

It was like a labyrinth just getting through the changing rooms – never mind trying to find the pools. And they have weird rules about how long you can stay in each spot – and of course we couldn’t read any of the signs.

‘Mate! Where’s the swim up bar?‘
We finally made it to Weltenburg Abbey. Within the Abbey is a brewery that has operated since 1050, making it the oldest Monastic brewery in the world.
So yeah. Cheers.🍻

Between the Abbey and Kelheim where we are heading to for tonight is a gorge – best way to get to Kelheim was by ferry.

Picture of the Abbey in the gorge.
